I have a 4400 deere thinking about a back hoe.
What does a used one cost?I think the new ones are out off my range off price.I think new ones run about $6k not sure off price.

It will be real tough to find a "GOOD" used one for much less than a new one. Lots of "GOOD AND USED" and they fetch top dollar. I obtained a ARRPS 728 3ph no sub frame. That is a lot of hoe for a 4400. I used it pretty hard and got quite concerned about the tractor housings where the 3ph mounts breaking. Felt by the time I suffer throught the down time and cost it would be to my advantage to hire it done. Try hiring a hoe with operator for a couple of hours digging... Finially bite the bullet and found the money to buy the jd48. I am really pleased with that decision. YUP had to put my own ribbon on it at Xmas cause I was still in the dog house...

Oh yea back to your question used jd48's if you can find one are $4000+
